Today I visited Howth again after a good few years, and of course as out tradition states - after the walk we had to come down to the Summit Inn for a meal. It was very busy today, even outside d our dog with us so we sat down outside anyway, managed to find a seat. The beautiful Gemma Hayes announced that she will be performing an intimate acoustic show at The Summit Inn in Howth on November 12th 2010. Support on the night comes from Ciara Sidine. Gemma is currently in the studio working on her 4th album with producer David Odlum, who also produced her latest.

Howth Summit is a place that is surrounded by water and mountain, with lots of flowers blooming. It has been a very nice walk, and I really enjoyed the sunny weather and the great view from there. After a fantastic walk around the cliff walk in Howth which is only 5 minutes walk from the Summit Pub We popped in for a coffee. Its a love lyrics quaint pub and friendly staff. The 31 bus from Talbot Street will take you there.

They call this Howth Summit, but there might be higher places on the peninsula on the northern edge of Dublin Bay. Never mind that technicality, because when visiting Howth Harbour, you should really make the detour to the Summit and take in the view. Or have a meal at the pub there. Well, glad you asked - and it all depends on the definition of the actual place. Generally speaking, this was the highest point ever reached by the trams running to Howth
