Death in June are a neofolk group led by English folk musician Douglas Pearce, better known as Douglas P. The band was originally formed in Britain in 1981 as a trio, but after the other members left in 1984 and 1985 to work on other projects, the group became the work of Douglas P. and various collaborators. Douglas P. now lives in Australia
Death In June is an extremely hard working band. Together, they have crafted a mere 20 studio albums, and have cooperated in the making of what is known as, Apocalyptic Folk. They’ve worked with a lot of bands similar to the genre, like Sol Invictus and Current 93 into forming its entire figure. All three bands have made an enormous contribution with the category and to this day, still are (despite a few LP’s being absolute crap). Death in June’s 5 track bonanza (excluding the live tracks), ‘Burial’ is definitely one of their best efforts
The Guilty Have No Pride (6 June 1983). Burial (15 September 1984). Nada! (12 October 1985). The World That Summer (22 July 1986). Brown Book (30 June 1987). The Wall of Sacrifice (3 June 1990). But, What Ends When the Symbols Shatter? (25 August 1992). Rose Clouds of Holocaust (20 May 1995).

Death of the West Lyrics. They're making the last film They say it's the best And we all helped make it It's called the Death of the West. The kids from Fame will all be there Free cocacola for you! And all the monkeys from the zoo Will they be extras too? They're making the last film They say it's the best And we all helped make it It's called the Death of the West. A star is rising in our northern sky And on it we're crucified A chain of gold is wrapped around this world We're ruled by those who lie. More on Genius
Side A is studio material, including a reworked version of "All Alone In Her Nirvana". Side B is the complete gig recorded live at the Clarendon Hotel, London, October 6th, 1983. The gig is usually wrongly dated as "December 17th, 1983", but Douglas P. said it was probably recorded on the October night at the Clarendon Hotel. A complete and different audience recording of the December 17th, 1983 gig might confirm that statement. This is the last LP released with Tony W. before he left Death In June.
