Sandy was originally recorded in 1969 for Gary Usher's Together Records, a venture that was brief enough that the label collapsed before the album (along with several others) could be released. There are three versions of this on CD, each one featuring different bonus tracks. The original release by Poptones featured just one bonus track, an instrumental version of "Once I Knew a Little Dog". The Japanese version features three bonus tracks.

Tiffany Anders 10/19/2010. Sandy Salisbury was a member of the stellar musical collective known as The Millennium and what would later evolve into Sagittarius, which featured such upstanding talent as Curt Boettcher, Joey Stec, and Lee Mallory. Salisbury recorded a solo album for Gary Usher and Curt Boettcher’s Together Records that, unfortunately, for logistically complex reasons folded before Salisbury’s debut could be released. Thankfully, the album has been unearthed in many different versions
Sandy Salisbury was the shy romantic of the loose group of musician friends who formed the legendary studio combos Sagittarius and the Millennium. He was also the one to eschew drugs entirely, a distinction that could not necessarily be made based on the evidence of this previously unreleased solo album, originally recorded for Together Records in 1968 and newly unearthed by British label Poptones. The album is a showcase for a talent who could sometimes get submerged in the shuffle of the group. Salisbury wrote or co-composed most of the songs in collaboration with various of his Millennium cohorts, and drenches them in one of pop music's most angelic tenors, a voice that is nearly identical in creamy, heavenly grace and elegance to that of Curt Boettcher, who co-produced the album along with future Fleetwood Mac engineer Keith Olsen.

Sandy Salisbury - Cecily (1969). Really nice country tinged sunshine pop by one of the main voices of the Millennium. Sunshine pop crossed with garage rock equals bubblegum? Works for me, and catchy as hell. Sandy Salisbury was one of Curt Boettcher’s main collaborators in sunshine pop studio concoctions like Millennium and Sagittarius. He recorded his own solo album in 1969 that only got released in 2000.
