The Matrix: Music from the Motion Picture is one of the two 1999 soundtrack albums from the blockbuster film, The Matrix (the other being The Matrix: Original Motion Picture Score). The soundtrack included most of the tracks the film popularized such as Rob Zombie's "Dragula (Hot Rod Herman Remix)" or the "lobby shootout music", actually called "Spybreak!", played by the British big beat duo Propellerheads. It also included a number of songs that were not present in the film.
What is The Matrix" Is it a computer-generated world that seperates fact from fiction" Is it means of returning to the world we once knew" Is it possibly a way to redeem mankind in their past sins" That, and many other questions, I ask myself everytime I see Keanu Reeves dodge bullets in slow motion. Apart from what made the movie such an iconic landmark in the industry, bullet-time, cool outfits and smart-ass talk, was its soundtrack. If anyone could recall the movies many fight sequences and rave club scenes, they would immediately question its music

The album's mega-cut, however, is no doubt Hot Rod Herman's outlandish remix of Rob Zombie's Halloween rave anthem "Dragula," which would be worth the price of admission alone even if the entire effect were not the hardest-core theme park sonic extravaganza around. A rockin' ear-blaster for this world as well as the next.
Album was composed by Don Davis and was released on February 25, 2014. Soundtrack consists of 29 tracks tracks with duration over more than 2 hours. Album was released by La-La Land Records.
