Eagles is the debut studio album by the rock band the Eagles. The album was recorded at London's Olympic Studios with producer Glyn Johns and released in 1972. The album was an immediate success for the young band, reaching No. 22 on the charts and going platinum
The Eagles broke up in 1980, but reunited in 1994 for Hell Freezes Over, a mix of live and new studio tracks. They have toured intermittently since then, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. In 2007, the Eagles released Long Road out of Eden, their first full studio album in 28 years. The seeds for the band were planted when Linda Ronstadt's then-manager John Boylan recruited session musicians Glenn Frey, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner to back Ronstadt
For the first time ever, the Eagles - Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill - will perform their iconic album Hotel California in its entirety in their only North American performances of 2019. Each night’s concert - Friday, September 27, 2019 and Saturday, September 28, 2019 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada – will also include an additional set of the band’s greatest hits. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 12, at 10 AM PDT. Hotel California is the third best-selling .
Among the best-selling artists of the 1970s, first at the forefront of the country-rock movement, later by producing soft rock and album rock.
Album · 1972 · 10 Songs. The Eagles' 1972 debut established Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner as Southern California's breeziest country-rockers. Powered by a trio of enduring soft-rock staples-Frey's sunny Jackson Browne collaboration, "Take It Easy"; the swampy "Witchy Woman"; and the mellow "Peaceful Easy Feeling"-the album unfurls with an airy charm. Twangy guitars and supple, four-part harmonies set a laidback mood until Meisner's Tryin’, a swaggering rocker with a stinging guitar solo, closes the album on an energetic high.
