Listen to the best Dj Valyom shows.

Valyom (Dj Valium) - Filip Vandendriessche - has been a name to watch out for on record labels and party flyers since the early 90’s, when he took his love of dance music and, with a group of friends, began throwing parties in the western provinces of Belgium. These early UFO parties were the start of a journey that has led him around the globe and onto some of the World’s most recognised underground labels.

The track " Theme for 80 Trauma" was created after DJ Hell earlyer suggested that I schoud remix a New wave ore EBM band' song (1985). Creatively the idea first didnt really sit well with me and was a long way from my personal taste - after all, I grewe up with movies like "Dune" and "Summer Lovers ".However, eventually I changed my mind and did the remix . The track was produced in the studio of Toon Bosschaert - Lt. Sprüdel , he was on guitar and I laid down the vocals . Because I'd spent time listening and analysing EBM and New wave songs ( 1985 ) before going ahead in the studio (and drinking a few glasses a whiskey as well!) the vocals was quite 'loose'. The vocals makes me think of the end of the movie Dune when the words " silence you well not speak " are spoken...The melodys has more in common with the soundtrack of the X Files series .But then Drop Bass Network heard it and wanted to put it out in 2004.
