Текст песни: Can’t be with the one you love then love the one you’re with Spliff in the ashtray, red stripe I pull the lid Her touch tickles, especially when she’s gentle But I don’t hear her words 'cause I slide the instrumental.
Massive Attack's debut album, Blue Lines came out in April 1991, so you'll have to forgive me as I'm nearly 6 months behind on writing this post to mark its 25th anniversary.

The album balances dark, diva-led club jams along the lines of Soul II Soul with some of the best British rap (vocals and production) heard up to that point, occasionally on the same track. The opener "Safe from Harm" is the best example, with diva vocalist Shara Nelson trading off lines with the group's own monotone (yet effective) rapping. Even more than hip-hop or dance, however, dub is the big touchstone on Blue Lines
Listen free to Massive Attack – Blue Lines (Safe From Harm, One Love and more). Blue Lines was generally considered the first trip-hop album, though the term wasn't coined until several years later. Blue Lines was a success in the United Kingdom, though sales were limited elsewhere. A fusion of electronic music, hip hop, dub music, '70s soul music and reggae, the album established Massive Attack as one of the innovative British bands of the 1990s and the founder of trip hop's Bristol Sound. Music critic Simon Reynolds stated that the album also marked a change.
